چکیده
Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is an important vegetable that has been indigenized in African countries where it consumed as a relish. There still, however, lack of documented cultivation techniques for better yields. An organic medium-enclosed trough (OMET) system growing technique developed to reduce water and nutrient seepage during plant production. The study objectives evaluated the effect OMET on growth, yield, nutritional attributes okra. A complete randomized block design was established accommodate two treatments: non-OMET, micro-plot under field conditions. stem diameter height were recorded weekly clear increasing trend over non-OMET observed from week 4 transplantation. significantly increased by 37 48%, respectively. When evaluating yield attributes, similar observed, okra follows: biomass 50%, number branches pods per 49%, fresh pod weight 53%, length 51%, while there no significant difference width. Non-essential amino acids compounds, including arginine, serine, glycine, aspartate acid, glutamic alanine, proline essential acids, histidine, threonine, methionine, lysine, tyrosine, leucine, phenylalanine, asparagine glutamine, highly maintained compared non-OMET. enhanced upregulation proteins, Ca, Mg, K, Mn, Na, P Zn elemental nutrients disposal less irrigation than This could be recommended small-scale commercial farming improve production nutrition.

A study was conducted at the Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh during April to September, 2012 to determine the suitability of selected plant growth regulators and the proper use and effectiveness of selected organic manures and also their suitable combinations for successful okra production. The experiment consisted of two factors: factor A: growth regulators...
متن کاملInfluence of Farmyard Manure and Weeding Regimes on Growth and Yield of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) in Zaria
Field experiments were conducted during the 2010 and 2011 cropping seasons to investigate the effect of farmyard manure and weeding regimes on the growth and yield of okra. The study was a factorial experiment laid out in split plot design, replicated three times. Farm yard manure was assigned as main plot treatments, while weeding regimes was assigned as sub plot treatments. Parameters measure...
متن کاملEnhancement in the germination, growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) using pre-sowing magnetic treatment of seeds.
The effect of pre-sowing magnetic treatments was investigated on germination, growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus cv. Sapz pari). The dry okra seeds were exposed to sinusoidal magnetic field induced by an electromagnet. The average magnetic field exposure was 99 mT for 3 and 11 min and seeds with no magnetic field treatment were considered as control. Both treated and non-treated s...
متن کاملSpectroscopic and Thermooxidative Analysis of Organic Okra Oil and Seeds from Abelmoschus esculentus
With changes in human consumption from animal fats to vegetable oils, the search for seed types, often from unconventional vegetable sources has grown. Research on the chemical composition of both seed and oil for Brazilian Okra in South America is still incipient. In this study, flour and oil from organic Okra seeds (Abelmoschus esculentus L Moench), grown in northeastern Brazil were analyzed....
